spinetta and charly forever

I remember two concerts that I will never forget. Two concerts of my two favorite musicians; Spinetta and Charly García.

I remember that I went with my mom to the Spinetta concert -the same case with Charly García-, because she introduced me to his music. So, we were listening together and it was a very emotional moment because I had never seen him playing in live before. He sang very well, but he was sitting on a chair all the time, very quiet, and I was a little bit disappointed because in videos of other concerts that I had seen, he was constantly moving. I can't remember the exact date of the concert, but I think it was about four years ago. I will never forget that concert for one special reason; it was the last concert that Spinetta gave before he died. When I learned that he died, very few months after I had seen him, I was really sad because he was so young, in his fifties. He died because of cancer. 

On the other hand, the Charly García concert was a little bit different because even if he was sitting all the time like Spinetta, Charly was more deteriorated than him. I can't forget that he said " Hi Mendoza!", instead of saying " Hi Santiago". It was a funny moment but a little bit sad, because it was a demonstration of his bad condition; he had aged. Despite this fact, I was very happy to see him and also I get emotional because he sang a song that he made with Spinetta, and it was a memory of him because he had already died.
